Hey there everyone, I know usually we talk about the latest equipment and design on Thursdays but I’d like to take a moment this Thursday to talk about something we often overlook in our tech departments: Leadership. I have had the distinct pleasure of sitting under some great leaders. Some of which have taught me […]
Hey there welcome to another Church Tech Thursday! Today I wanted to talk a little bitt about stage design and show some really creative designs and a new way to use projectors as part of your stage
Hey there we know last time you were kind of disappointed that we didn’t go over more of the different possible camera setups for church but we’re back this week with even more information. Last time I went over one of the cheapest possible options for a camera setup while still maintaining somewhat good quality […]
Today we’re going to talk about video cameras in your church. Most people would love to have videos of their church service they’re great for outreach through a broadcast or just a nice way to archive older services. However most people don’t know where to start due to the wide range of options. Building a camera setup suffers from the classic designer’s paradox where you can have a setup that’s cheap, expandable, or good quality but you can only choose two of those attributes. If we chose cheap and good quality it will be hard to expand later on, however if we chose good quality and expandable it will be expensive, or we can chose cheap and expandable and we won’t have as good of quality.

As I sit writing this, I find it very hard to believe that it is already time to be thinking about Christmas. While the rest of the “normal” world starts celebrating after Thanksgiving, Worship Pastors and Creative Directors began making preparations before summer is even over. It is very easy to get lost in a […]
Hey everyone, it’s your friendly neighborhood geek here and we’re here to talk tech and design for a little bit. This is a new section to the site that we’re going to try and see how it goes over. There’s no subject set in advance for these posts, so it’s just however I feel that particular week. So without any further adu lets jump in.
Every now and then a new tool comes along and a few people use it with great success, then others try to copy their success and fail to obtain the same great results. That’s how it is with social media, there’s a few very public successes but no one ever really talks about what makes the successes great and what makes other attempts fail. What exactly makes Jimmy Fallon, ALS Awareness, and Share a Coke such great social media campaigns? While we don’t have all the answers we do have a few ideas that you may want to try. These are areas where we’ve seen churches and organizations falter.
From what I’m seeing from churches all over the country the order of the month is stripes and shapes with a kind of retro vibe. I’ve tried to capture this with this month’s media resources. First up is a simple title slide with “God of This City” on it. The fonts used are Ostrich Sans […]
